Chad Groening – OneNewsNow – 8/9/2010 – A former Justice Department attorney who quit his job and became a whistle-blower is accusing his former employer of stalling on enforcing a provision aimed at assuring armed forces personnel receive their absentee election ballots in a timely manner.

In October 2009, Congress enacted a new federal statute known as the Military and Overseas Empowerment Act (MOVE), requiring states to send military and overseas voters absentee ballots 45 days prior to elections. But heading into the 2010 mid-terms, a number of states have failed to comply. Some have even have requested wavier applications. Most of those states are politically of the “blue” variety.
