Chad Groening – OneNewsNow – 8/10/2010 – An organization that advocates for immigration reduction says a recently revealed memo confirms President Barack Obama’s plan to use his presidential authority to circumvent Congress and give de facto amnesty to millions of illegal immigrants in the U.S.
As reported on OneNewsNow, a group of U.S. senators led by Chuck Grassley (R-Iowa) have sent letters to the administration asking for answers about a plan that would allow Department of Homeland Security Secretary Janet Napolitano to provide an amnesty to illegal aliens if the administration cannot secure enough votes for a bill in the Senate. Now a Justice Department memo leaked to Grassley outlines the strategy that can be used to grant de facto amnesty to illegal aliens by effectively lessening the standards used in determining “extreme hardship” cases. Under certain circumstances, illegal aliens can remain in the country under laws already on the books.
